We started Moore Consulting out of a desire to serve the community. We’re all long-time residents of the DeKalb area, and we’ve all got experience and history with local small business. In early 2009 we opened our doors, providing professional, economical products and services to local businesses and residents.

Kathy Moore, President

Kathy worked at MicroSolutions in DeKalb, IL for 3 ½ years beginning in March 1996. She learned to love computers and business there and began her education in information technology and business administration. As co-owner of Tri-Star Communications in Sycamore for eight years, she managed the accounting database and the purchasing of computer equipment and software for the company. Kathy also has 14 years of experience in general management, equipment sales, and services for small to medium sized businesses and organizations in DeKalb, Lee, Kane, Ogle and surrounding counties in Illinois. All of this has lead to a natural progression of starting a family business with her sons David and Cory. Kathy’s husband of 29 years, Terry, is the family’s biggest supporter. Her vision for Moore Consulting is one of growth but also to enrich the community by offering quality products and good service at competitive prices.

David Moore, Computer Technician

David is Kathy and Terry’s oldest son. Born naturally inquisitive, he began to teach himself about computers at ten years old and hasn’t stopped learning. After serving in the USAF in the Avionics field, he’s ready to service the community for computer repairs, upgrades, special projects, troubleshooting and virus removal. David is well-versed in Windows and Linux, file server applications, networking, website building and more.

Cory Moore, Customer Service/Sales

Cory is the family’s youngest son. With many years of retail sales experience and customer service, Cory will be ready to find answers to your questions and give you quotes for products and services. You’ll enjoy speaking with Cory and maybe even discuss music or fishing, his two favorite hobbies.
